We say it so often it might seem like we’re stuck on repeat: the key to a successful Whole30 is planning and preparation. That’s why we like the idea of having your refrigerator stocked with a few Whole30 meals for those moments when the best laid plans go sideways. Moments like:
- Your husband ate your packed-and-ready-to-go Whole30 lunch as his midnight snack
- You left your groceries in the car and they overheated
- Your dog ate your ficus and you had to spend your meal prep time at the vet’s office
- The time when… fill in your own blank here, because we KNOW you have them
Our newest Whole30 Approved partners at Territory offers a menu of over 400 (!!) delicious Whole30 Approved meals to fuel all your awesome moments in life (including the unexpected ones). You can find Territory in the Bay Area, Southern California, Washington DC and surrounding region, and Dallas-Fort Worth. (Plus, they’re expanding to new regions soon, so stay tuned for details.) Just apply the “Whole30” filter when placing your order to view the Whole30 Approved meals available on any given week.
We asked Whole30 experts Amanda of The Kitcheneer (in Washington, D.C.) and West Coast-based Jenn of Pretend Its a Donut to show us how they use Territory meals throughout their busy week, helping them stay on track with their Whole30 and food freedom habits.
Amanda and Jenn: A Tale of Two Territories
Amanda, 7:15 PM Monday: I’ve had a long day at work and then went straight to the gym. Sometimes on these long days I’m tempted to say “forget it” and go to bed hungry instead of making a proper Whole30 dinner. That’s when the Boost size meals from Territory are PERFECT. The gym I go to has a mini-fridge and microwave for exactly this purpose, so I can heat up my fresh meal and get much needed protein and fat into my body after a hard workout.
Jenn, 8:12 AM Tuesday: Getting five kids out the door and off to school in the morning can get a bit crazy. Grabbing these Whole30 Approved Scotch Eggs and Side Salad from Territory is the perfect way to get in a healthy meal AND save me a few minutes in my morning so that I’m able to get the kids to school on time.
Amanda, 8:15 PM Tuesday: This kind of day has happened to me on so many occasions. Here’s the scenario: I start my day with a homemade breakfast and a cup of coffee with my favorite nutpods. Lunch is a wonderful protein salad. Everything is running according to schedule… and then my boss adds me to a late afternoon meeting that runs until 7 PM! I have some chicken thawing in the fridge to make for dinner, but when I finally get home from work, I am exhausted and VERY hungry and have zero desire to cook. A Territory meal is clutch here. Now I can slip into my PJs, heat up my dinner, and watch some Netflix without turning to non-compliant foods out of convenience.
Amanda, 9:00 AM Wednesday: A business trip unexpectedly popped up and I have to leave to fly out to California. When I travel, I like to stick as close to Whole30 eating as possible, even if I’m not officially doing a Whole30. It just makes me feel my best. I have two options here: Option A is to look at the list of TSA-approved food items and pick those off the Territory menu that I can easily carry on the plane. (Tip: I pick ones without stew or gravy, because liquids). Option B is to place an order to pick up at one of their California locations when I land. Either way, Territory is an easy-peasy travel life-saver!
Jenn, 11:27 AM Thursday: When I’m in the midst of one of my big meal prep sessions, the last thing I want to do is put everything on pause to make myself lunch. Meal prepping for a family of seven is hard work! That’s when this Peruvian Pot Roast from Territory comes in handy… I can quickly heat it up on the skillet in five minutes so that I can have the fuel I need to go on with my busy day.
Jenn, 12:43 PM Friday: Half days of school can be hard… I pick up my older kids right during my littles’ nap time, feed them all lunch, and get the bigs started on homework. In the midst of everything, it’s easy to forget that I need to eat too. I grabbed Territory’s Beef Bulgogi for a healthy Whole30 meal in a matter of minutes, while helping the big kiddos with homework and getting my others down for naps.
