I had more energy on a day-to-day basis, I started sleeping better at night, I was able to focus better at work, and I wasn’t getting an afternoon slump.

This year was the year that I made myself a priority. In 2020, my emotional eating took a turn for the worse. I couldn’t stand looking in the mirror or even at pictures of myself. I felt like a failure. My health was suffering, and my doctor said I was pre-diabetic. I knew I had to make changes and I wanted nothing more than to feel better. My doctor suggested I kickstart my health journey by completing the Whole30 program.

I started the program, and the Non-Scale Victories I experienced were tremendous! I had more energy on a day-to-day basis, I started sleeping better at night, I was able to focus better at work, and I wasn’t getting an afternoon slump.

Whole30 changed my life. That’s not an understatement. I now have more knowledge about the food I eat and how what I put into my body will affect me. I refrain from eating certain foods because I now understand the impact they have. After changing my lifestyle and working through my emotional eating with therapy, I’ve never been happier. It just feels good to feel good again. I’m immensely grateful for my doctors and their willingness to get me back on track. I check in with my doctor monthly, and she always tells me how proud she is of the progress that I’ve made.

It’s never too late to focus on yourself or make changes that improve your quality of life. Cheers to bettering yourself for no one other than you.
