Less than a week into our first Whole30 I lost the chronic stuffiness in my sinuses. With that I lost the need to take daily decongestants.

I found out about Whole30 when a colleague turned down a cookie I offered because she was on the program.

She said she felt so much better and her aches and pains were gone. My husband and I decided to try it. My husband read food labels for the first time in his life. I learned how to drink coffee without sugar. We both realized how much sugar, corn and soy was lurking in the foods we had been eating. Our second Whole30 was even easier.

You posted a ‘Why haven’t I lost weight’ message, and those always make me want to point out other losses that are better than weight loss. Less than a week into our first Whole30 I lost the chronic stuffiness in my sinuses. With that I lost the need to take daily decongestants.

During our second Whole30 I lost the aches I was experiencing in my hands in the morning. I never have experienced “Tiger Blood,” but I lost the need to nap the moment I sit down. I’ve also lost any cravings I used to have for candy, so standing at the grocery store checkout is no longer a test of my will.

I am sure there are other positive losses, too. My co-worker and her husband joined us in our current Whole30, and this morning she commented that even without getting on the scale, whether or not there is any lost weight, she feels lighter. I agree. There is a different feeling of lightness that has nothing to do with weight.

Since our first Whole30 we have given the cookbook and the original Whole30 book to family and friends. Both my husband and I have inspired co-workers to do the Whole30 along with us. Thank you for the Whole30.
