Cashew Creme Fraiche

This Cashew Creme Fraiche is a breeze to make and adds a delicious touch of rich flavor. Whole30, plant-based and vegan, with only 5 simple ingredients. Tasty on roasted veggies, salads, wraps, and soups. An easy sauce you will make again and again!

Ingredients

  • 1.25 cups raw unsalted cashews
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 tbsp lime juice (about 2 ½ small limes or 1 ½ large limes)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  • BLEND all the ingredients in a high speed blender* on high until very smooth. If needed, scrape down the sides and blend again.
  • STORE in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • *NOTE: If you do not have a high-speed blender, soak the cashews in the water + lime juice for at least two hours, up to overnight, to soften and blend more easily.
