“I even started jogging because I had so much energy and a fresher mindset: Phill’s Story”

In January of 2019, I was admitted to the hospital for diverticulitis. It was a bad case that required surgery, and I had pretty serious complications the days following the surgery. Thankfully, after 9 days in the hospital, I had a full recovery.

Doctors told me that the cause of diverticulitis was either hereditary factors, or because I was obese. I knew couldn’t change heredity, but I could control how I fueled my body. I started Googling diet plans and lifestyle changes and stumbled across Whole30 around the end of May. It has completely changed my life. I feel so much better; I’ve got a new lease on life!

My biggest non-scale victory is quality of life. My stomach doesn’t hurt. I now know how certain foods affect my body. I look better, eat better, and feel better. My energy levels increased, and I started waking up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I even started jogging because I had so much energy and a fresher mindset.

Even though it wasn’t my main goal, I have also lost weight and that’s been a huge plus.

I give Whole30 all of the credit!  I couldn’t be happier and I want to tell everyone I know to give Whole30 a try.
