My experience with the program has been nothing short of life changing.

I’ve been meaning for over two years to write in and share my Whole30 story and finally…now’s the time. My experience with the program has been nothing short of life changing. I had been diagnosed with high blood pressure and hypothyroidism and my doctor told me that I would be put on medication for life. Many people have these health conditions and medication works very well and lead a very normal life in almost all cases. I didn’t have a history of taking medication but my two diagnoses were serious and I set out to deal with it.

The very day I was diagnosed I went into my local health food store. I told the employee what was up and she walked me though several vitamin options but eventually said “you know if you really want to turn this around you should consider the Whole30.”

To make a very long story short, I read all that I could about it and cleared it with my doctor and he agreed to trying it for 30 days. As tough as it was to not fall off the wagon I toughed it out. After the 30 days I went back to my doctor. He ran complete blood work and when the results came back he called me in and nearly fell off his seat. Not only was my blood pressure “that of a young man” but he actually retested because of the extreme changes in the results. It even made him laugh because he was convinced that it would fail.

So here I am two years later still committed to my Food Freedom and taking zero medication of any kind at 60 years old. And I’m at the weight that I was in college. I loved wine and likely too much of it but I’ve not had a drop in two years and frankly I don’t want to add it back in because I feel tremendous and in the best health of my life. I’m even able to now deviate and treat myself to foods I’ve missed out on for two years with no problems at all. Thank you Whole30 for changing my life!
