In February, we hosted a Kitchen Table Talk event with recipe developers, food creators, and entrepreneurs. The event started with a 30 minute live cooking demo courtesy of Bryon Neville Hughes III and Ryan Royster of Last Supper Society.
Then, we gathered some Whole30 community favorites for a community dialogue. Althea Brown of Metemgee, Ashlea Carver Adams of All the Healthy Things, Byron Neville Hughes III, Ryan Royster, Floritza Gomez of Flor’s Flavors, KJ Kearney of Black Food Fridays, and Whole30’s Director of People & Culture and Creator of Hella Black Brunch, Dr. Carrie Kholi-Murchison discussed the representation of Black food pathways, traditions, and flavors in commercial and digital food spaces, as well as their own growth processes for building impactful brands along the intersections of food, health, and wellness.
