Plant-Based Chipotle Ranch Dressing

This Plant-Based Whole30 Chipotle Ranch is creamy, full of flavor, and easy to make in just 5 minutes. Just stir it together and drizzle on all the things for a punch of smokey-sweet, satisfying zest.

The base of this chipotle ranch is mayo. You can find an easy-to-make Whole30 Plant-Based Mayo recipe here. One batch of our Plant-Based Mayo recipe makes the perfect amount of mayo for this Chipotle Ranch. Plus, it’s made with avocado oil and without eggs. Or, if you prefer a pre-made Whole30 vegan mayo, you can use this Whole30 Approved Primal Kitchen Vegan Mayo

This Chipotle Ranch is delicious on salads or dipping raw veggies. It’s a budget-friendly option that you can make at home. Looking for Plant-Based Whole30 compatible dressings at the store can be overwhelming and hard to find. Use this DIY shortcut to flavor by making this dairy-free sauce yourself!

This ranch gets its full flavor from an easy blend of dried spices. As written, this sauce has a medium heat level. Want it mild? Cut the chipotle powder in half. Want more of a kick? Increase the chipotle powder. Plus, you can adjust the thickness as desired by how much soy milk you choose to add (or not).

What is chipotle powder? It’s a mildly spicy chili powder made from chipotle peppers, which are smoked and dried jalapeno peppers. It’s great for adding smokiness and flavor. You can buy it in stores or make it with a recipe like this one. Can’t find it, or don’t want to make it? You can also use 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce blended into the mayo or 1 teaspoon+ of the adobo sauce stirred into the mayo. Just double-check your label; most canned chipotle peppers and adobo sauce are not Whole30-compatible.

Substitutions:

  • You can substitute 1 tablespoon fresh dill for the 1 teaspoon dried dill. If you are using fresh, be sure to chop it really fine or blend the sauce in a food processor.
  • Instead of the chipotle powder, use 1 canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce blended into the mayo or 1 teaspoon+ (depending on desired heat level) of the adobo sauce stirred into the mayo.
