In 2015, after years of dieting, I finally started to adopt a healthier lifestyle but yet I still continued to yo-yo quite a bit using fad diets and getting stuck. Around that time my good friend was reading It Starts With Food. She told me about the Whole30 and I was always up for hearing about the next new thing. I read it myself, and it made so much sense.
My friend and I did our first round together and I was changed. I lost weight, my skin for the first time looked good, and most of all my relationship with food changed forever. I have not been on a diet since then! I have been healthy and have not been sick in about two years, not even a cold! Whole30 inspires me to cook for my family more, and provide myself with healthy food. It also forces me to deal with feelings that I’d much rather feed a cupcake to. Life has not been perfect since then but I’m always learning about my Food Freedom.
I just finished my September Whole30 with my sister. My husband is supportive and has done it with me as well as friends! This was my fourth in all with a few mini resets and I’m still learning. I feel good, and am ready to continue on my Food Freedom journey! I hope someday to become a Whole30 Certified Coach and pass the wisdom on to more people!
